Fix It Friday!

This is my first ever participation in Fix It Friday at I <3 Faces.

Although I do have Photoshop on my computer at home, I rarely get the chance to use the computer.  So my work computer, with access to nothing more than iPiccy, helped me fix this image.

First, I messed around with warming up the colors using Curves.

Then I brightened the highlights and increased the contrast, and then fixed a couple of clipped highlights that I created in the boy's hair.

Next, I cropped out the lady.  Sorry, Mom, you just weren't working in the picture for me. 

Finally, I sharpened the little boys' eyes, and made half of my work moot by converting the whole thing to black and white.
